Meet the Teacher

Who is Hitomi Sensei?

A Passion for Excellence in Education

Hitomi Sensei graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree from the College of Education, laying the foundation for a career dedicated to academic excellence.

Her career took her to China, where she worked at a major preparatory school helping over 100 international school students prepare for university admission. There she honed her expertise in SAT preparation, TOEFL coaching, and essay editing, helping students gain admission to top English-speaking universities worldwide.

After relocating to Singapore, Hitomi Sensei began offering private English lessons to Japanese students. Through the quality of her teaching alone, she grew her practice to over 50 students entirely through word-of-mouth referrals, a testament to the trust parents place in her methods and results.

Now based in Tokyo, she continues her mission at HIT English Academy, providing the same high-caliber, personalized instruction that has defined her career.
